Beautiful dances and songs are performed in Makkah during the celebrations and events of national and social importance. Al-Mizmar is one of the dances dominating all the cities of Makkah region. It is performed by moving the sticks to the rhythms of drums while alternate dancers to go to the dance floor as the performers change roles between them for dancing. Also, there is Al-Majrour Al-Taifi, which is the main dance in the Bedouin lives and villages. It was named after Taif, where it is performed intensively. Al-Majrour dancers wear traditional clothes consisting of white dresses with a leather strap for carrying the rifle and bullets, and the iqal (over the head) that is made of reeds. The performers stand united in one line holding tar drums with their hands constituting a fantastic folklore portrait.
