The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz:

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received the Pledge of Allegiance as King of the Saudi Arabia on the 3rd of Rabie Thani 1436H, corresponding to the 23rd of January 2015.

King Salman was raised by his father, late King Abdul-Aziz bin Abdul-Rahman Al Saud, who is the founder of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He had accompanied his father in the official meetings with kings and rulers of the world. King Salman had received his early education at the Princes School in Riyadh, where he studied religion and modern sciences, and he completed memorization of Holy Qur’an at the age of ten. 

 He served as the Governor of Riyadh, then as a Defense Minister, later on he was appointed as the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. King Salman is known for his inimitable leadership and strong administrative skills, close relation with the citizens, and for his Arab, Islamic, and international relations.

Known for his love for history and high culture, he has exerted diligence and attention to the history of the country, along with his efforts for the development in the Riyadh region, which witnessed a big transition during his governance. Furthermore, he has played a great role in many humanitarian fields inside and outside the Kingdom, especially with regard to relief and aid.  ​
