Equestrian sports

In Saudi Arabia, a man is judged by his equestrian skills, which is why the best riders in the world come from Saudi Arabia. Khaled AL-Eid represented his country in the 2000 Olympic games, and proved himself a hero, by winning Olympic medals. Khalid has been riding horses since he was 10 years old. When the European horse jumping sports arrived in the Kingdom in early 1400 AH (1980 AD), his father learned that the light and smart Arabian horses lacked the required power for this sport. Therefore, he decided to import thoroughbred horses from the Netherlands and Belgium to participate in the local horse-jumping sports.
